Nurseries Direct Carbon Footprint reduced by 50% with new lights

We have just installed new lighting in the garden centre. The new lights will cut our carbon footprint by 50% and will thus make the Garden Centre more efficient. We strive to care for the environment and already practice a number of environmentally friendly procedures.

All Plants are watered using recycled rain water which is collected in a large tank towards the rear of the centre. All cardboard and plastics are bailed and sent for recycling.

We pass on all pallets to a third party and many of the supplier plants trays are given to our customers instead of carrier bags to carry plants home.
